Palm Sunday, April 9 ~ Palms blessed at Masses 

Tuesday, April 11 ~ Chrism Mass at the Cathedral, 10 a.m.

Wednesday, April 12 ~ Mass at 7:30 a.m., Mass with Anointing of the Sick at 11 a.m.

The Sacred Triduum

Holy Thursday, April 13 ~ Mass at 7:30 a.m. for those unable to attend at night, Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7 p.m. followed by Adoration until 11 p.m.

Good Friday, April 14 ~ No Masses, Stations of the Cross at noon, Solemn Service at 3 p.m. including veneration of the Cross and Holy Communion

Holy Saturday, April 15 ~ No morning Masses, 10 a.m. Morning Prayer and Blessing of the food, Easter Vigil at 8:30 p.m. (instead of 4:30 p.m.)

Easter Sunday, April 16 ~ Sunrise Mass at 6 a.m. in the park (bring a chair); Masses at 7:309 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in the Church

Confessions

Good Friday ~ 11:30 a.m. to noon

Holy Saturday ~ 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Note

~ Lent ends on Holy Thursday, and the Holy Triduum fast continues to the Easter Vigil.

~ Good Friday is a day of fasting and abstinence.

2017 Lenten Mission

Father Lee Havey, CP, a priest of the Passionist order, will preach the mission as our spiritual moderator. Father Lee is currently assigned to retreat house ministry at the Bishop Molloy Passionist Retreat House, while he continues to lead parish missions and retreats domestically and internationally. Welcome, Father!

All Catholics age 14 and older, as a minimal obligation, are bound to abstain from eating meat on all the Fridays of Lent. In addition, all Catholics ages 18 to 59 are bound to fast and abstain on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
