Progress of Extension & Improvements

Pavilion Rendering 1 hires

Thanks be to God and to all our generous parishioners. We are close to reaching our fundraising goal for the proposed Parish Hall expansion projects; we have thus far raised $1,820,219.

A partially complete set of drawings has been presented for review to the city of Lighthouse Point. Our architect, Mr. Gallo, estimates the review will take several weeks.

Once that phase is complete, a further review will be required by the city of Pompano Beach.

This week, Mr. Gallo made a presentation to the Building Committee at the Archdiocese.

Understandably, after review by the various agencies, the drawings will require some corrections and additions. Once the drawings have been approved, the whole Parish will be informed, and all contractors and interested parties will be invited to submit their bids for review to the Finance and Parish Councils.

After deliberations by the councils have been finalized, published and accepted, we will announce a date to begin construction.

The “Group of Seven” meets every Wednesday, to review progress and offer suggestions. Should you have any questions or constructive ideas feel free to speak to them. They are Paul Arcella, Jim Clark, Ed Fee, Jeff Graham, Rich Holtfreter, Paul Ludwick and Tom Sheehan.

Please keep the project in your prayers.

Transformed in Love: Marriage Prep

The next retreats will be Oct. 8 to 9, 2016, and March 11 to 12, 2017, at Saint Thomas University. Contact Mildred Ratcliffe at 305-762-1127 or mratcliffe@theadom.org.
